SOAP (symbol of Absolute Power)

In the SOAP series, I work with worldly, mass-produced objects such as mirror balls. Through simple physical effects—reflection and rotation—I mimic sublime images of the cosmos and of nature. By insisting on inaccuracy and pseudo-imitation, the work shows how people simplify and aestheticize nature while remaining drawn to its mythic and spiritual charge.
