CMY　（Circulation of Mixture Yard ）

Workshop "CMY" at Fuwari, Chiba(2015)

CMY is based on the three primary colors of color, with Cyan, Magenta, Yellow flowers planted within each circle. Eventually, the flowers wither, drop their seeds, and sprout and bloom again. A crossbreed of red and blue flowers may bloom, or seeds may spread outside the circle. This sculpture for observing how the color distribution created by man changes in this natural cycle.

「CMY」は色の三原色に基づき、各円内に青・赤・黄（Cyan, Magenta, Yellow）の花が植えられている。やがて花は枯れ、種を落とし、再び芽吹いて開花する。赤の花が黄のスペースに咲くこともあれば、赤と青の花の交雑種が開花することもある。また種が円の外へ広がることもあるだろう。この彫刻は、人間が作り出した色の分布が自然の循環の中でどう変化するかを観察するためのものだ。
